Key Responsibilities and Duties
The core duties of a Junior Accountant revolve around the fundamental aspects of bookkeeping and financial support:
Transaction Processing: Recording daily financial transactions, posting and processing journal entries, and maintaining accurate ledgers.
Accounts Management: Managing accounts payable (invoices, payments, expense reports) and accounts receivable (invoicing, collections).
Reconciliations: Performing daily, monthly, and annual bank, general ledger, and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Reporting Support: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for month-end and year-end closing processes.
