Job Title: Night Guest Service Officer (Night GSO)
Department: Guest Service
Reports to: Guest Service Manager
Working Hours: Night Shift (e.g. 11.00 PM ? 7.00 AM)
Job Summary
The Night Guest Service Officer is responsible for delivering excellent guest service during night hours, handling front desk operations, ensuring guest safety and security, and supporting night audit?related tasks. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services
- Welcome, assist, and attend to guests during night hours in a courteous and professional manner
- Handle late check-ins and early check-outs efficiently
- Respond promptly to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints
- Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, and security for guest needs and emergencies
Front Desk Operations
- Operate the PMS accurately for reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and billing
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare guest folios and settle accounts correctly
Night Audit & Reporting
- Assist or perform night audit procedures as assigned
- Balance daily transactions and reports
- Prepare shift handover reports for the morning team
Safety & Security
- Monitor hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety
- Handle emergency situations following hotel SOPs
- Maintain awareness of suspicious activities and report incidents promptly
Administration & Communication
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments
- Ensure smooth shift handover and clear communication
